Vista can be a huge problem for LSP.\u00c2\u00a0 There are many requests for LSP help involving Vista that it has even been awarded its very own category \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Vista LSP Issues.\u00c2\u00a0 You\u00c2\u00a0will see this on message boards\u00c2\u00a0spanning the web.<\/p>\n
It seems that\u00c2\u00a0a large\u00c2\u00a0quantity of these problems\u00c2\u00a0come from two\u00c2\u00a0little mistakes.\u00c2\u00a0 Some people install\u00c2\u00a0just the 32 bit DLLs and the 32 bit LSP or\u00c2\u00a0some will\u00c2\u00a0only install the 64 bit DLLs\/LSP.\u00c2\u00a0 When you are running a 32 bit application on a 64 bit operating system, then you need to have the 32 bit versions of the DLLs and the LSP.\u00c2\u00a0 Also, when you are running 64 bit applications, you need the 64 bit versions as well.<\/p>\n
Now I do realize that this is a huge over-simplification of the Vista and LSP problem, but it does come up so\u00c2\u00a0frequently that it deserves repeating.\u00c2\u00a0 I know that there are other problems involving LSP Vista also.\u00c2\u00a0 And those will\u00c2\u00a0need a\u00c2\u00a0lot more troubleshooting than this post will accomplish.<\/p>\n
